Happy April!

Happy April 1st!  Here's a joke from Ford:  "Do you know why the army was so tired on April 1st?  Because they just finished a 31-day March!"

Here in Vaison the weather couldn't be better.  We've had about 10 days straight of sun and temperatures in the 70s.  The fruit trees are blooming.  The lizards and bees have woken up.  Ford is being required to memorize poems about spring in school (they are big on poem memorization and there's always a theme).  Also, there was a dead snake in the road.  All of these things are signs of spring's arrival.  Here's some more proof:

Friday night we went to see The Hunger Games.  There is only one theater in town and The Hunger Games was only coming for one week.  We walked to the theater and arrived 15 minutes before show time (having been delayed by numerous conversations with people we met on the way).  Ed worried we would get bad seats, but hardly anyone was there:

     That was fun.

Also, the washing machine went on strike.  Averil found a potential solution to the work stoppage about halfway through the manual:

Could that be the problem?  Let's see:

Yes . . . that be the problem . . . .
