Gary Comes to Visit

This is Ed's friend Gary Nece and his wife Jody and their daughter Lucy:

Gary Loves to Copy the Way Ed Dresses

Ed and Gary have known each other well since they collaborated on a case 15 years ago.  And for 12 years they've shared the same suite of offices in Seattle.  Wow, that's a long time.

Anyway, Gary and his family are visiting France and England for a few weeks so they came down on the train for a few days to see what Vaison la Romaine was all about.  We had fun showing them around.  We went around town and to some neighboring villages.  And we also went to see a little something the Romans built called the Pont du Gard (look it up on Wikipedia . . . it's outrageously cool).  It was fun to go to the Pont du Gard because we got to go on the TOP where Ed had never been before.

A child of the 60s/70s, Gary brought a frisbee everywhere we went.  In town, it was fun to throw and catch the frisbee while trying not to step on dog doo.  That made it even more of a challenge.  Also, Gary and Jody are excellent at washing and drying dishes.  We put them to work after every meal.  (Hee hee hee.)  Come back any time guys!  Here are some photos of the fun times we had:

      In other news:

Averil had her first Skype conference (computer to computer video conference).  She wore professional attire on the top (and pajamas on the bottom!).  Ha ha ha!

The April lunch menu is out:

And here's a recent communication between Averil and the school (roughly translated):

School:  The school nurse is coming for the 5th grade (for kids going on to 6th grade), please bring your health book on that day.

Averil:   Ford doesn't have a health book.  He won't be going to middle school in Vaison.  Moreover, he visited the doctor before he left for France.  Everything is current.
